It is no secret that the IT and programming industry at a global level is characterised by deep gender segregation, with the majority of graduates being men and only a small percentage of women. Whether it's because of a lack of female role models or entrenched gender stereotypes that discourage women from entering this sector, it is without a doubt an issue that needs to be urgently addressed.
